Glucosamine Sulfate- Glucosamine Sulfate is the basic building block of cartilage, joint fluids, and other joint components, and is found naturally in the body. It has been scientifically accepted in the medical community as a relief agent for osteoarthritis. Research trials show that it halts joint pain, and over prolonged periods of use, can even prevent further degradation of arthritic conditions. It is registered for medicinal use in Europe.

Boswellia Extract- Also known as Indian Frankincense, Boswellia is an ancient Indian joint remedy herb used in Ayurvedic medicine that has been clinically studied to be effective for treating arthritis. Studies showed that patients on Boswellia felt less joint pain and more joint mobility than a placebo group, and the plant has potent anti-inflammatory effects on pain in joints.

Chondroitin Sulfate- Often used in joint medicine alongside Glucosamine Sulfate, Chondroitin is another naturally occurring substance that is a building block for joint health. Chondroitin sulfate is an important structural component of cartilage and provides much of its resistance to compression. The largest trial for Glucosamine/Chondroitin effectiveness for arthritic relief was published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2006, in which the Glucosamine/Chondroitin group experienced the most significant pain relief.

Turmeric- Turmeric was first used in Siddha medicine. You probably know it best as one of the spices in curry, it’s a plant that grows in India. It has potent natural and anti-pain and inflammatory effects on arthritis, and in one study was found to be as effective for pain as ibuprofen.

Quercetin- Quercetin is a flavonoid found in many plants known for their health benefits, like Ginko Biloba, green tea, onions, and even red wine. It is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

Methionine- Methionine is an amino acid. Amino acids are the building blocks that our bodies use to make proteins. Methionine is found in meat, fish, and dairy products, and it plays an important role in many cell functions.

MSM- Short for methylsulfonylmethane, MSM is a chemical found in plants, animals, and humans. It can also be made in a laboratory. It is effective for minor osteoarthritic pain.
